4 Months Later

It's been an absolute whirlwind of activity, and I'm not really sure where to begin. Maybe a couple of bullet points that will detail all the goings on in the most organised way? Lets start with those then:

• Songs For A New World went really well, although never reached it's budget.
• I finished all my coursework for both English modules, including my dissertation.
• Got a First for the creative part of my dissertation!
• FINISHED UNIVERSITY!
• Overall came out with a 2:1, with Honours, in English and Drama. Pretty happy with that.
• Found a flat...
• and moved in with Ry. Well, not fully yet but we're getting there.
• La's birthday party was on Friday, and I drank way too many bubbles. (still had a good time though)
• Worked this weekend, in the Dress Shop, but now have three weeks holiday.
• Bing's birthday is tomorrow, and then on Friday we all go to France - we being Dad's side of the Fam, the Siblings, myself and Ry. 
• Might have a full-time job lined up for August, working with SWAFST, but haven't actually heard anything from them since they told me I was successful... (update: just called them, they said the letters are still being processed)

What else? I think that about covers everything, in a very easy to understand and recognise way. Oh, that and the fact that the UK had a referendum and decided to leave the UK, with 52% voting leave and 48% voting to stay (including myself). But we won't go into that too much, just because it's been beaten over the head way too many times over the past couple of days. The only thing I will say is I'm not sure how patriotic I can be to this new Britain, especially if Scotland do decide to leave...

In other news, yes! We have a flat! I feel like I haven't previously mentioned my wanting (for a long time) to live with Ry, but we have finally got a flat and moved all the furniture from Mum's house (and Ry's Mum's house) over to it. We have a fully furnished house, it's just missing it's tenants currently. I'm staying at 3rd Year Home until after graduation, just because it's better to be around the housemates while I can be. Even though I am going on holiday for a good two weeks now, and so won't be able to see or spend time with them. Oops.

One Small Step

Well, I've been pretty terrible with keeping this updated for what we've had so far of 2016... Whoops. What's happened? Not a lot, actually. 

I've been doing just English this term - my dissertation (a comedy series episode) and also the Writing the Short Film module. Both are great, I'm very much enjoying them, even though in two weeks time I've got to do a Rehearsed Reading of my short film in front of an audience - and I haven't actually finished writing it yet. More than that, in three weeks time I've got to send in the first 2000 words of my dissertation to my tutor. But haven't actually started writing or researching anything for what I want to send him...

So starting tomorrow, definitely going to get on that. 

Which should be fairly easy to do, seeing as I quit Costa! Yep, did so early this week (22nd of February) in exchange for a different job working in retail. But that's only on Sundays so for the rest of the week I can focus on my degree.

Well, that, and also Songs For A New World, which is the latest show I'm now producing!

Yeah, there's a lot to do to make sure that is running smoothly, including making sure we actually have the rights, whoops. That wasn't my job, but I think it might end up being so. We shall see, there is going to be a meeting about it tomorrow. At least, I think there is.

I spent this weekend in London though, with Pheebs and Lizard, which was good fun... I think. I had a really good time with them, laughed lots, probably spent too much money, and also managed to see two boys from AC (TW and JB)- but sometimes also felt quite of the loop. The two ladies tended to talk about things I didn't know about, and Lizard always was always showing Pheebs things, getting her opinion, and taking pictures with her - I dunno, it just made me feel kind of unnecessary. Like Lizard didn't really care about my opinion on things, and I just felt like their friendship was stronger than my friendship with Lizard.... 

Maybe it's just jealousy?

But I don't want it to tarnish the weekend, because it was great to see them and I did have a really good time.

But if Lizard chooses to go to Notts at the end of the week, instead of coming to see me, then I feel like that speaks volumes. Even though she's doing it because it's cheaper...
